DYNAMITE Brings HIGHLANDERR Film and TV Series Characters to Life in New
Comic Book Series

Best-Selling Publisher to Launch HIGHLANDER Title in '06


 Davis-Anderson Merchandising Corp and DYNAMITE ENTERTAINMENT are proud to announce a new ongoing comic book series featuring the HIGHLANDER franchise. The new DYNAMITE comics will feature
popular HIGHLANDER characters from both the film and television series, with
the initial launch following the events from the first movie.


The original HIGHLANDER film (1986, 20th Century Fox) starred Christopher
Lambert as Connor MacLeod, a Scottish clansman born in 1518, who learns that
he is an immortal being who must use his wits, and sword, to battle against
other immortals, in a deadly game where the survivor will claim "the prize"
and decide the fate of mankind. Tutored in the art of sword fighting by his
fellow immortal Ramirez (Sean Connery), Conner finds himself pitted against
the evil Kurgan (Clancy Brown), culminating in a final battle in New York
City in 1985.


This now cult classic film has led to four HIGHLANDER feature films, Home
Videos and DVD's, an animated series, fourteen original books and successful
licensed merchandise. The HIGHLANDER franchise also includes the popular
HIGHLANDER: The Series (119 one hour episodes over 6 seasons), starring
Adrian Paul as Connor's cousin, and fellow immortal, Duncan MacLeod. The
HIGHLANDER television series has since lived on in widespread syndication
and distribution on VHS and DVD.

able to add the characters, films and shows to our growing line of great
comics. We plan to take advantage of next year's 20th Anniversary of the
first film by launching our series. This first series will be going back to
the beginning with the first movie! For our retailing partners, this is a

comic on their website, and in e-mailers and mailings to millions of fans!

Allen concluded by adding: "We're working on the final scripts now and
selecting our artists for the opening arc. We will be offering the comic
once we have the first couple of issues complete and ready for distribution.
What we do know, is that the first book will have a beautiful painted cover
by Gabriel Dell'Otto and that future covers will feature the artistic
talents of John (Astonishing X-Men) Cassaday, Billy (X-23) Tan, Mel (Red
Sonja) Rubi, Lee (Painkiller Jane) Moder, Will (Red Sonja/Thulsa Doom)
Conrad, Guiseppe Camo (Captain Atom) Camuncoli and more covers by Gabriel
